more. a mother’s narrative. 11.1.2024

My dear child. My heart feels your pain. I feel the aches of the pierce and the tug of the knots.

Here is what I want you to know, today, tomorrow and always.

Knowing comes from within. It often is buried deep inside and only does it start to matriculate out, when the heart starts to ache and when it longs to know more.

More comes not from the hurry of this world full of loud cheers, woohoos, atta boys and pretty girl compliments. More comes not from the scores on the test, teams played on or the accolades that even I find myself throwing out there. This is masked as sparkle.

The truth is, we all long for the sparkle. The glitz and gleam from the shine. It feels good to shine. It makes us feel worthy.

But let me tell you this secret. This sparkle that I speak of above comes from the outside. It comes from others. It comes from culture. It comes from flesh, and it enters from the outside and sneaks into our hearts.

Here is the tricky thing. Our hearts need light. It’s the fuel for life. Hearts are designed to shine, so they capture all the shine they can. It is the natural process.

But hear me out on this. This is what I want you to know. More than anything.

The shine that will TRULY fuel your heart comes from WITHIN.

The shine that you long for that will bring the most shine and sparkle comes from the very own LIGHT within your heart. The piece of you that is GOD. Some people may call this Source, Love, Soul, Joy, You. Regardless of what you choose to call this Light, KNOW that it is there. And that is the part that will SHINE from the INSIDE out, when you allow it to IGNITE.

My dear Child. My wish for you is that you know your LIGHT, the source that you come from and that you ignite your light and SHINE BRIGHTLY! Not in your accomplishments or award, but in how you LOVE. That. That is your knowing. Your knowing that you already have within.

That my dear child is what I want you to know. Today, Tomorrow and Always.

just.love and ignite your light. You will shine and the world will be brighter.
