Let me tell you a little secret…
I’m a true homebody. I love family. I love home.
As a little girl, I didn’t dream of being a stay-at-home mom. In fact, I envisioned a couple of kids and successful architecture career, but God has a funny way of leading you down paths you never dreamed of, if you trust the process.
Here I am, all grown (although I am convinced, we will never actually feel the age that we are, right?! ) My college sweetheart and I have 5 kids and one service dog. We’ve lived in 3 homes and have been transforming our home for the past 10 years into our accessible nest; our cozy home that is accessible and functional for all of us.
Most days you can find me in the kitchen, typing my thoughts away at the table in between dishes, meals and heaps of laundry, or crazily running kids around. I started blogging in 2011 when I was pregnant with our second child, when we learned he would be born with a rare birth defect that affected his spinal cord. I’ve been back and forth in this little online world, half because of fear of oversharing and half because of surviving 5 young kids. Now that they are all officially in school, I’ve dipped my toes back into writing publicly.
You’ll find me journaling about spirituality and how to live in spirit everyday while still maintaining all the to dos of our humanity. You may see bits of home design and accessible features because I love home and design. And cooking… because let’s face it, what better way to nourish our bodies and souls than to gather around the table.
